The short version: Filigree does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
Filigree ("the app") is a music-composition tool developed and published by Songdeed ("we," "us," or "our"). We designed Filigree to run entirely on your device. This policy explains what that means for your privacy. It applies to the Filigree app on Apple iOS.
None. Filigree does not collect, request, or require any personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, or any other personal data in order to use the app.
The musical material you create in Filigree — phrases you draw or import, the variations you generate, and the ideas you keep — is processed and stored only on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We have no servers that receive your content, and we cannot see what you make.
Filigree contains no analytics, no tracking technologies, no advertising, and no third-party marketing software development kits (SDKs). We do not build profiles of you, and we do not track your activity across apps or websites.
When you export a MIDI or MusicXML file, Filigree writes the file locally and hands it to Apple's standard iOS share sheet. You alone choose where it goes — for example Files, AirDrop, Mail, or another music application. That handoff is governed by Apple's software and the destination you pick; Filigree does not monitor, copy, or retain your exported files.
Filigree does not require an internet connection and does not send data over the network in the course of normal use. Standard Apple services that operate at the system level (such as the App Store or iCloud, if you use them) are governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not ours.
Because Filigree collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. The app contains no ads, no in-app purchases that require personal data, and no external links to user-generated content.
Since your content never leaves your device through the app, it benefits from the security protections built into your device and iOS. We hold no copy of your data because we never receive it.
If we change how Filigree handles information — for example, if a future version introduces an optional feature that involves data — we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before that feature ships. Material changes will be reflected here.
